Bowen was founded in 1994 by Lisa Stewart and Charles Target, with the firm belief that participating in the Asian growth story through selective stock-picking would yield superior returns for our investors. This has in fact been the case for over a decade, whereas the returns from simply buying the index or ETFs have been flat.

Our investment style is long-only and is focused on the long-term growth of globally competitive businesses based, as we are, in Asian markets.

We firmly believe that our clients should understand our investment approach and thought process, in order to foster a long-term partnership. To achieve a high degree of transparency, we provide both monthly and ad hoc reports on how we see conditions in our markets and in the region. Our clients regularly meet and speak directly to the analysts and portfolio managers who are always accessible by phone or email.

The current management team, led by Celina Lin and Aadil Ebrahim, remains fully committed to our proven approach and to maintaining our excellent track record of outperformance. Our three funds, each with distinct investment mandates and risk profiles, cover the growth areas we see in the region.
